MaxUpgrade is built on the principle that your data belongs to you. We collect only what we need to power your experience, never sell it, and make it easy to export or delete at any time.
We collect information you provide directly: your name, email address, and password when you create an account. We also collect data you log within the app — workouts, meals, journal entries, habits, financial entries, goals, appearance data, and business ideas. This data is used solely to power your experience and Eve's AI coaching.
We collect basic usage data (pages visited, features used) through Google Analytics to improve the product. We do not collect precise location data, sell your data to advertisers, or share your personal information with third parties except as described below.
We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we discover that a user is under 18, their account will be terminated and their data deleted.
Your logged data is used to generate personalized AI responses from Eve, calculate your macros and progress metrics, and display your analytics across pillars. We use your email to send account-related messages (receipts, password resets) and, if you opt in, product updates.
We use Anthropic's Claude API to power Eve. Prompts sent to the API include your logged data to generate personalized responses. Anthropic's data usage policies apply to API interactions. Your data is not used to train third-party AI models.
Referral data (your referral code, who you referred) is stored to administer the referral program and issue rewards.
Your data is stored on Supabase, encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe — we never store your card details. We implement row-level security (RLS) on all database tables, meaning your data is only accessible by your authenticated account.
We take reasonable technical precautions to protect your information, but no system is 100% secure. If a breach occurs that affects your data, we will notify you promptly.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your data remains accessible until you explicitly request deletion. You can export or delete your data at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion, your personal data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.
We use the following third-party services to operate MaxUpgrade:

Each service has its own privacy policy. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.
We use essential cookies for authentication (to keep you logged in) and session management. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. Google Analytics collects anonymous usage data such as pages visited, time on site, and referral sources. No personally identifiable information is sent to Google Analytics. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing Google's browser opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
You can disable cookies in your browser, but this will prevent you from staying logged in.
You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time. You can do this directly from your account settings, or by contacting us at maxupgradeteam@gmail.com.
If you are in the EU/EEA, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to data portability, the right to restrict processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA including the right to know what data we collect, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of data sales. We do not sell personal data.
We may update this policy as the product evolves. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or via an in-app notice at least 7 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of MaxUpgrade after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
